MY MUTATION – ONLINE DANCE COMPETITION UPDATE
Second Round Votes closes 29th August

12 finalists for Round 2 of the My Mutation online dance competition! Now it is up to the public to vote for their favourite dancers, who will move on to Round 3. Our My Mutation Judge, Kate Champion has commented that the entries were “fascinating…” and she was pleased with the various number of styles, from contemporary to tap and street dance . We received entries for MyMutation from Canada, China and all over Australia!
Round 2 requires the finalists to create a new mutation of Sarah McCreanor's 40 second solo and add another 20 seconds in their own style. The finalists are also making video blogs so that we can all get to know the dancers.
Now we'd like you to watch the finalists as they create their new mutations, see who stands out and goes above and beyond. Visit the My MutationYouTube web page from Monday 23 August and click on Vote Tab to vote for your favorite dancer. Voting closes on Sunday 29 August 2010 so make sure you visit the web site and vote, you only have one week! The six finalists with the most votes will then move into Round 3.
They will be appearing on Channel 7 s Sunrise program on Friday morning. Make sure you tune in on Friday 3rd September to watch them dance on national TV!
Daniel & Cristina will be teaching on Saturday 4th & Sunday 5th September at the Dance Alive Studio in Chippendale.

3. Turns and the art of Pausing - Giros y Pausas. (Saturday)
4. Elegance and Natural Movement (Balance, lead and posture). (Sunday)
5. Boleos (marca, recepcion y entrenamiento). (Sunday)
6.Villa Urquiza Style Tango ( turns, walk and embellishment) - Estilo Villa Urquiza (giros, caminatas y adornos ). (Sunday)
