All Levels are six (6) week courses. Once students
have completed level 3, they are welcome to join the Intermediate 4,5 or
6, Once you complete all the Intermediate levels you could join advanced class. This is the "happening" Rueda
class..
Notes
-
There are many other variations of enchufla and prima not
listed here, such as Principe Bueno (enchufla with a kiss on the hand),
Principe Malo (enchufla with a smack on the hand). Rather than including these
variations we prefer to concentrate on distinct exciting moves. The same
applies to combinations of moves (such as vacilala dame dos con vuelta etc.)
If you want to know how to do a move not listed here (but listed at your level
elsewhere), just ask us at the end of the class. Chances are we'll know it,
otherwise we'll find out for you.
-
The words "con Dos" after a move generally means to do the
move but add two hand claps (eg. "Dos con Dos" = "Dame Dos con Dos" or "Give
me two with two (claps)")
-
The words "...pa' Abajo" after a move generally means instead
of finishing with a dame to the right, finish with a dame to the left. (Eg.
"Una pa' Abajo" = "Dame Una pa' Abajo"). In other parts of the world
the words "...pa' Arriba" are used for the same purpose.
-
The
syllabus has been revised so that the moves are now in order of difficulty.
-
Moves marked with an asterisk (*) were created by the
former Rueda Dance Group (now Ruedisima).
-
Those marked with (**) were recently created by Ruedisima.
Other instructors/schools may use and teach these moves as long as the words
"Courtesy of Ruedisima Dance Company" accompany any printed reference to the
moves.
